Working principle of electrostatic precipitator:

Gas containing dust particles, the centrifugal fan sends them go through the high voltage electric field formed by cathode lines (discharge electrode) and anode lines, cathode lines wiring high voltage dc power and anode lines wiring grounding, due to the cathode makes corona discharge, then the gas is ionized.

At this point, the negatively charged gas ions, under the electric field force, move to anode plate; collide with the dust particles during the movement; make the dust load with negative charge, in the same way, the charged dust particles also move to the anode plate, releasing the electronic after arriving the anode; finally dust deposition on the anode plate, and the purified gas is exhausted out the dust collector by centrifugal fan.
