There are many causes for gas-solid two phase flow fan wear; some are the cause of the fan itself, such as fan structure, material, etc.; some are dust removal system causes, such as dust characteristics, dust concentration, etc.

Generally, fan wear resistant measures can be divided into two categories: passive anti-wear and driving anti-wear. 

Passive anti-wear is selecting appropriate wear-resisting material for fan or process wear resistant treatments to the fan parts.  
Although the passive anti-wear method has played a certain role in wear resistant measures, but it can not fundamentally eliminate and reduce wear.

5. Improve the Centrifugal Fan Structure by Xianrun Blower

The reasons why wear parts of the fan is not uniform is that the uneven distribution of solid particles in the air.

In general, the wear is serious in big concentration place, while the wear is light in small concentration places.

Using the front wear resistant blade cascade or increasing the guide vane are based on the perspective of gas dynamics, control particle motion to uniform distribution, and then reduce the wear and tear. 

After the impeller installed front wear resistant blade cascade or increasing the guide vane, and they will rotate with the impeller rotation. In this case, generate airflow to dispel the particle beam; force to reduce their orbit radius; prevent the particle move back to rear plate and the blade root; make the solid particles uniform distribution along the impeller; thus convert the particle concentration wear to even wear; finally, improve centrifugal fan impeller wear ability and prolong the service life.

3. Choose Suitable Wear Resistant Fan 

Different models fans have different wear-resisting degree. Generally, large centrifugal fan with low speed have better abrasion resistance. Compared with axial flow fan, centrifugal fan usually can provide the abrasion resistance of 4 ~ 5 times.

The casings of wear resistant fan are welded by steel plate; lining of casing have guard board, in order to replace after serious wear.

What is more, fan speed also have important influence to centrifugal fan wear, the higher speed, the more serious wear. Under the premise of meet the requirements of air flow and pressure, low speed centrifugal fan can reduce wear and tear.

If the centrifugal fan works in air dust, it is better to choose wear-resistant fans with low speed.
