Inertial dust separator is also called idle type dust chamber. Because the dust and gas in the air movement have different inertia force,the dusty gas collides baffle and dramatically changes the airflow direction, separating and collecting dust by inertia force according to motion trail.

Inertial dust separator has two kinds, collision type and rotary type. The former is install one baffle or multichannel baffle along the flow direction, dusty air collides the baffle, then dust particles separate from the gas.

Obviously, the higher speed of the dusty gas before collision the baffle, the lower speed after collision, the less dust, higher dust removal efficiency is higher. 
The latter is that the dusty gas changes flow direction for many times, then separate dust in steering process.The smaller curvature radius of gas, the more steering speed, the higher dust removal efficiency.
