1. FD Fan: FD fan supply secondary air, through air preheater, one part air as surrounding air, filling air and so on, which have effect on fuel nozzle flame, and at the same time, cool fuel nozzle. 

The other part air supply oxygen for boiler combustion, and also supply SOFA and COFA, to adjust the boiler combustion. SOFA is separation over fire air, this is the technology to lower nitrogen oxide during the power plant boilers combustion; COFA is compact over fire air.

2. Primary Air Fan: Take medium speed mill, direct-firing pulverizing system as example, the primary air fan provides primary air, one part go through the air preheater, as hot primary air, the other part air do not go through the air preheater, as cold primary air. 

Hot primary air go through the speed mill, drying and bring the pulverized coal into boiler combustor. The hot primary air mix with cold primary air in the entrance of speed mill, adjust the temperature; ventilate the speed mill.
